About this job

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for supporting employees and guiding business leaders in aligning their strategies with company objectives. This role focuses on employee relations and performance management, ensuring compliance with labor laws while aligning with the company’s global HR strategies. As an HRBP, you will collaborate with leaders across different locations, develop a deep understanding of the business and its goals, and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion.


This position reports to the HRBP Manager/Senior Manager. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and skilled in managing employee concerns – driving both business success and a positive employee experience.

Core Duties by Competency:

Knows the Business

· Manage and resolve employee relations issues including conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.

· Provide HR policy communication, guidance, and interpretation to ensure compliance.

· Maintain in-depth knowledge of HR labor requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

· Understand business objectives and partner with leaders to align HR strategies with operational needs.

· Act as a strategic partner to management and employees, fostering open communication and engagement.

· Provide guidance on labor laws while ensuring alignment with global HR policies and practices.

· Stay updated on HR trends, technology, and methodologies to enhance HR practices.

· Ability to coach and influence employees at all levels, offering HR insights and support.

· Support business initiatives to maintain a positive and productive work environment across teams.

· Analyze HR data to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend strategic solutions.

Leads Others

· Promote and reinforce Patra core values, fostering a strong and aligned company culture.

· Support performance management by assisting leaders with coaching, development, and retention strategies.

· Serve as a resource for HR processes, providing guidance on policies, best practices, and compliance.

· Advise managers on probationary assessments, performance reviews, and career development plans.

· Maintain high emotional intelligence to build strong, trust-based relationships with leaders and employees across diverse backgrounds and all levels.

· Successfully manage customer service standards and stakeholders’ expectations.

· Approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset, offering solutions and strategic insights.

· Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

· Ensure accurate and timely documentation of employee concerns, disciplinary actions, and coaching logs.

· Conduct HR investigations and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.

· Consistently communicate and implement HR policies and disciplinary procedures across teams.


Team Player

· Collaborate with leaders, HR colleagues, and other departments as needed.

· Communicate effectively (both written and verbal); providing clear, concise, and constructive feedback when needed.

· Partner with Operations and People Leaders to drive engagement and retention strategies.

· Assist in HR training sessions on policies, best practices, and compliance requirements.

· Interpersonal Skills:

Minimum Requirements

· 2-5 years of experience in an HRBP or employee relations role, preferably in a BPO or multinational company.

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.

· Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and employee relations best practices.

· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

· Experience handling employee concerns, disciplinary cases, and HR investigations.

· Ability to work effectively with leaders and employees across different locations and time zones.

· High level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive issues.

Working Conditions

· Primarily remote (work-from-home), with occasional on-site reporting as required.

· Stable internet connection (minimum internet speed of 25 mbps download & 25 mbps upload), with a direct modem connection. No satellite.

· Physically able to work night shifts.

· Lives near Eastwood, Quezon City (for Manila applicants) or Cebu IT Park (for Cebu applicants).
