The IT Governance department within the IT group is responsible for the creation, maintenance and improvement of IT-wide standards and processes, including compliance to regulatory and internal policies. This group provides governance across the different IT projects and services to ensure compliance to processes and regulation, meet delivery commitments, comply to standard hygiene requirements and identify overall IT improvements.

As a Vendor Standards and Governance Manager, you will be in charge of the planning, implementation and improvement of vendor governance with focus on the following areas: standards and way of working, performance management, contracting standards, vendor-workforce management, invoicing oversight, relationship and overall vendor strategy.

Role Responsibilities:

• Define, support and execute policies and standards on governing vendors, both from a new vendor and existing vendor perspective
• Support and execute operational governance to effectively manage vendor output, risks, issues and escalations
• Build and maintain relationships with strategic vendor partners, delivery teams, IT and BU leadership, and project sponsors who work directly with the vendors
• Oversee movements of all contract-based employees in IT and provide IT and HR management visibility
• Optimize onboarding and offboarding processes for all vendor related engagements
• Oversee all commercial transactions in IT and ensure commercial model is optimal for IT
• Review existing contract templates and recommend changes based on best practices, establish standards on contract terms
• Maintain the contract inventory and monitor expiration of contracts, ensure contracts are renewed on time prior expiration
• Oversees accounting, budgeting and charging of all IT spend (capital and expense)
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and execute through the various IT business units

Competencies:

• Technical Skills: Experience in any of the following areas: Vendor governance and reporting, Vendor Workforce and Resource Management, Contract Management and Compliance, or Financial Management including planning, budgeting, and analysis and cost optimization
• Collaboration Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across all functional teams, 3rd party and individuals at all levels, ability to work independently and collaborate with teams in completing important projects and major initiatives
• Communication Skills: Strong written, oral interpersonal communications and presentation skills
• Strong initiative, self-motivation, self-discipline, creativity and a determination to reach goals and objectives with minimal management intervention and control
• Overwhelming passion for innovation and a desire to achieve more with less

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of relevant managerial experience
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in any of the following disciplines: Vendor Governance, Vendor Workforce Management, Vendor Contract Management, Financial Management.
