Your Role MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. ADMINISTRATION 2. PURCHASING 3. SUPPLY CHAIN
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Procurement Officer primarily supports the Managing Director and the broader STW team across various procurement functions.
- This role actively contributes to the organisation's delivery of operational services by providing high-quality contract and procurement services.
- In collaboration with the leadership team, this role manages and coordinates all procurement activities relating to the supply chain with vendors, contractors, suppliers, staff, management, and internal and external stakeholders to provide advice and meet compliance and statutory obligations.
- Prepare regular procurement reports.
- Provide support with procurement and supply chain contracting.
- Manage and maintain accurate procurement systems and records.
- Participate in regular Administration meetings.
- Maintain information integrity and confidentiality with executives, directors, and managers concerning supply chain activities and procurements.
- Manage the procurement of goods and services for STW, providing assistance and technical advice on procurement activities.
- Support managing leased assets, including motor vehicles, plant, and equipment.
- Provide transparent purchasing records to the AU Accountant for processing.
- Support the assessment and negotiations of supply chain activities with suppliers for operations and logistics.
- Provide advice on efficiencies and cost-saving through purchasing and process improvements.
- Provide internal stakeholders with Purchase Order numbers for purchasing.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relations, including:
- Internal staff and management,
- External direct suppliers (our Brands), and
- External suppliers and vendors.
- Develop, plan, prepare, and manage procurement programs and initiatives.
- Lead and manage the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of supply chain contract documents, agreements, and purchase orders.
- Provide advice on procurement opportunities, renewals, and innovations.
- Develop robust advice on procurement and supply chain contract management improvement opportunities and ongoing development of policies and procedures.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
- Qualifications:
- Successful completion of one or a combination of the following accreditations at Diploma (AQF level 6) or higher:
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain and logistics, and/or
- Tertiary qualifications in business administration, and/or
- Tertiary qualifications in Science (supply chain management).
- Successful completion of any other qualifications in procurement and contracts at certificate or diploma level is desirable.
- The candidate must provide an academic transcript for qualifications as part of the selection criteria.
Eligibility
- At least 12 months of experience in using MYOB or a similar ERP system.
- At least 12 months of experience in a similar or junior role.
- Successful completion of criminal history checks.
- Demonstrated clear knowledge and applied technical understanding of contemporary procurement and contract management approaches within a complex work environment.
- Demonstrated proven experience and clear capability to look beyond immediate workplace requirements and provide practical ‘hands-on’ advice in relation to procurement, governance, and probity.
- Demonstrated experience planning, implementing, and managing effective processes and projects, particularly in relation to procurement and contract management services.
- Demonstrated experience in providing advice to leaders and managers in a timely fashion.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiation and advocacy.
Preferred Skills/expertise
- Intermediate computer skills with experience in using Office 365—Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under limited supervision individually or in a team environment.
- Autonomous and able to solve work planning problems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly capable of building rapport and trust quickly with all stakeholders.
- Team player.
- Fluent in English.
