We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations in a fast-paced consumer company. This role requires a balance of transactional efficiency, strategic insight, and project leadership to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing while driving initiatives that enhance payroll systems, policies, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transactional Payroll Management

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Manage payroll transactions, including salaries, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies.
  • Handle payroll reconciliations, general ledger posting, and payroll-related audits.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and escalations.

2. Strategic Payroll Leadership

  • Develop and implement payroll strategies aligned with company growth and workforce needs.
  • Identify and drive continuous process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, and IT teams to optimize payroll processes and reporting.
  • Ensure payroll operations align with broader HR strategies, including compensation and benefits.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

3. Project Management & System Enhancements

  • Lead payroll system implementations, upgrades, and integrations with HRIS/ERP platforms.
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve payroll accuracy and reduce manual interventions.
  • Partner with HR and Finance to support workforce planning, cost analysis, and forecasting.
  • Manage payroll-related projects, including new business expansions, mergers, or policy changes.
  • Conduct payroll analytics to provide insights on labor costs, trends, and budget alignment.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of payroll experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Expertise in payroll systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP, Oracle) and HRIS integrations.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Proven experience leading payroll transformation projects and automation initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced consumer-driven environment.
