Role Description

Responsible for transportation and coordinating deliveries to ships in port. The driver cum port representative will also be required to assist with port documentation and ensure compliance with safety and security protocols. Ensures efficient operations, and maintain a safe delivery in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsbilities

• Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, including stores, provisions, and transshipment items, to various clients across Manila and major ports in the Philippines. Provides client feedback to the DONSHIP team to support continuous service improvement.
• Consolidating all delivery items in an organized and efficient manner, ensuring proper packaging and accurate labeling.
• Responsible for receiving cash payments from clients during cash-on-board arrangements and ensuring the accurate turnover of the cash to the finance department.
• Fiduciary responsible for managing cash on hand for the purchase of perishable and non-perishable items. Ensures proper liquidation process.
• Adhering to HACCP protocols as mandated by DONSHIP's audit partners.
• Providing updates via RIDDOR, vessel dispatch reports, and delivery photos through the official Facebook group. Coordinating with clients and DONSHIP teams to address any concerns related to shipment operations.
• Ensuring all necessary entry documents (passes, permits, IDs) as well as invoices, delivery receipts, and other important documents are secured prior to delivery.
• Ensuring the timely update of vehicle status, including safety conditions, temperature logs, date, vessel name, responsible representative, port of call, vehicle used, TAT, EDD, and remarks.
• Providing timely reports to the Donship admin regarding the assigned vehicles' conditions, cleanliness, and other relevant details.
• Perform other duties that may assign by superior from time to time.

Required Competencies/Skills

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Good knowledge of the local area and ports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift heavy items and work in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or Senior School Graduate, Vocational, College Level.
• Experience: Prior experience in similar role is preferred.
• Certification/ License: Professional Driver’s License A1, B, B1, B2.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php16,823.75 - Php18,000.00 per month
