Position Overview:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping, and maintaining safety standards. The supervisor leads and coordinates the warehouse team to meet operational goals, enhance productivity, and ensure the timely delivery of goods.



Key Responsibilities:

Team Supervision:

• Manage and supervise a team of warehouse associates.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities based on daily operational needs.
• Conduct regular training and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity and quality.
• Monitor employee attendance, safety, and adherence to company policies.

Inventory Management:

• Oversee inventory control and ensure the accuracy of stock levels.
• Implement processes to track product movements, including receiving, storing, and shipping.
• Work closely with other departments to coordinate inventory needs and forecast supply requirements.
• Manage stock replenishment and inventory audits to avoid stockouts and overstock situations.

Shipping & Receiving:

• Supervise the receiving of shipments and ensure goods are inspected, counted, and stored correctly.
• Oversee the packing, labeling, and shipment of products to customers or other locations.
• Ensure all orders are processed efficiently and that shipping deadlines are met.

Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce safety guidelines and ensure that all team members follow proper safety protocols.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and resolve any issues related to warehouse safety.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes for increased efficiency and cost savings.
• Implement best practices for warehouse operations, including optimal layout and organization.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for warehouse improvements.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse performance, including productivity, safety, and inventory levels.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and manage the warehouse budget effectively.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate (Bachelor’s degree) in logistics, business, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks when necessary.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Environment:

• The Warehouse Supervisor typically works in a warehouse or distribution center environment, which may involve standing, walking, and lifting items throughout the day.
• May need to work evening, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on business needs.
